Distilled from Citronella grass, it is a traditional deep cleaning and protecting component. The essential oil of Citronella is extracted from two varieties of Citronella. The first is the Ceylon variety, whose scientific name is Cymbopogon Nardus and the other is a Java variety, which is called Cymbopogon Winterianus in the botanical terminology. A powerful detoxifier that helps to get a fair complexion by keeping spots, blemishes, blackheads, pimples, and whiteheads away. It improves the skin tone by smoothing the skin and tightens the skin as well. It is also helpful during injuries as it protects wounds to get infected. It controls excess oil. To add volume to hair it also can be mixed with shampoo. Apart from this, it is a great natural air freshener and insect repellent.

Uses

  • It acts as a natural pain-relieving treatment. Combine two to three drops with a carrier oil like coconut oil and massage it into swollen joints, tissue, and muscles.
  • Diffuse it in your home or office to counteract a rough day.
  • Add several drops to your shampoo or conditioner, or try making your own homemade recipe.
  • As an easy home remedy for acne, try drilling a drop of pure Citronella Essential Oil with a drop of coconut oil three times a day using a cotton swab.


Directions for use

Diffusion: Use three to four drops in the diffuser of your choice.

Topical use: Apply one to two drops in the desired area. To reduce the sensitivity of the skin, use it with coconut oil.
